FOLCA:At the end of last week, the district council updated the public on plans for the new medical centre at Folca (Debenhams). It has transpired that the plans propose to demolish the Victorian part of the building [the section that runs along the side between the high street and the bus station]. The plans were only put into the public domain after Labour Cllr Laura Davison objected to them being kept secret following a meeting of the council’s town centre working group the previous week.
